I Bought The Full Size

If you have read my post out scrubs , you will know I was thinking of repurchasing the Soap and Glory SCrub Em and Leave Em Body Buff in the full size. Last week I went shopping and finally bought it.
This scrub is scented with their Mist You Madly scent which contains bergamot, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk.
The ingredients which make this scrub work really work is the babassu oil, the sea salt, the jojoba and the mandarin oils. These ingredients scrub your skin and leave it moisturised. As I have dry skin it does not moisturise me very well but my sister (who had normal skin) says she4 does not have to moisturise after using it !

I hope you enjoyed this short post

What Am I Wearing On My Nails ?

Recently I have been reaching for the same nail varnish whenever I am painting my nails. The nail varnish which I have been loving is the Rimmel Lasting Finish in the colour 'Keep Calm' .
I love the formula of Rimmel nail varnishes especially the 60 second ones. Although the lasting finish varnishes are not meant to dry super quick, but I think they do compared to other brands.
Also the colour is gorgeous and summery and helps emphasise my tan, which is never a bad thing !
There is only one down side to this varnish and that is that the brush is no way as good as the thick one that the 60 second varnishes have,
Overall I love this nail vanish which explains why I keep reaching for it. If you are getting a summer nail varnish this is definitely the one to get.

I know its not very summery weather at the minute but what summery nail varnish have you been loving recently ?

I hope you enjoyed this post

Culinary Tour Around Spain And France

My mum suggested that I should do a blog post showing you all the food I ate whilst on holiday. So as it sounded like a fun idea and definitely something I would like to read on other blogs, I thought I would do it !

So I Dyed My Hair !

Yesterday I was in boots and decided I really wanted to dye my hair purple. Instead of permanently dying my hair I used a hair chalk form BLEACH London which lasts between 1-4 washes. I have the shade 'Bruised Violet' which is a bright purple shade. I loved the  effect it gave my hair as I used it at the ends to create a purple ombre effect. It did not come out very bright on my hair as I have quite dark brown hair. Although I love that is quite subtle !
I was really easy to apply but could not work out how to sharpen it. But if I find a way I will notify you.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Where Did I Go On Holiday ?

If you follow me on Instagram you will know I have been on holiday for the last 3 weeks road tripping around Spain and France.

This is the over view of the trip, as you can see there were lots of really long journeys, but it was really fun.

The first place we stayed at was a really adventurous campsite which is on a steep hill. On one side of the hill is a really pretty beach and on the other there is an amazing view of the Picos De Europa.

We then stayed at another campsite on the other side of Santander (near Noja ) which has a beach and a estuary (tidal river) which is really fun to play in. The big rock is also really fun to jump off !

The next stop was Gavarnie. Gavarnie is the most picturesque place I've ever visited.

On the way to Collioure we stopped off for lunch in Carcassonne, which is an amazing historic French town full of sweet shops and patisseries.

We stayed a whole week in a cottage ! Collioure is a really artisty town which I find boring but the beaches were great for snorkelling and it was really pretty.

The next place we stayed at was the Dordogne. If you love canoeing then you would definitely love it there. There were also loads of historic towns which are really beautiful.

We stayed the next night in an amazing hotel in the Loire Valley (which is famous for wine, hence the grape vines !). It was really pretty here but there wasn't very much to do.

After the Loire we drove to Caen to get the ferry home !

Where did you go on holiday ?

I hope you enjoyed this post !

What Swimwear Am I Taking On Holiday With Me ?

Today I thought I would show you the swimwear am taking on holiday. I am only taking two as I am road tripping around spain and france with my family. This means I had to pack light.
So lets start :
Both my bikinis a from decathlon and are a couple of years old.
My favourite bikini is this one, which I think looks like fogs spawn. I love it because it fits really well and dries really quickly which is definitely a bonus when  travelling.

My second bikini is this navy stripy one. I find this one does not fit as well as the other one and I really do not like the buttons on it. But like the other one it dries quickly so I chose to take this one.

I also took a UV top. I am not sure where it is fromIf you do not know what one if these is. It is a top made of the same fabric as a swimming costume but blocks Ultra Violet rays which harm your skin. So I bought this as I am planning to go canoeing in the Dordogne so it will stop me from burning. I love the colour of this one. But like most UV tops once wet it will make you really cold. Although I am not sure where I bought this from.

The next item, is a pair of board shorts which are from decathlon
They are super comfy and great when you need to cover up and I will definitely use them.when I am canoeing in the Dordogne. I just really love the pattern and the colour.  (Purple is my favourite colour).

OOTD : Summer BBQ

Thought I would share with you the outfit I wore to a summer BBQ recently.
Starting at the top, I went for very natural summer makeup. So on my face I wore :
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder ( mentioned in my Collective Haul post), Natural Collection Blusher in 'Rosy Glow' which is a really natural shade, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Warm Medium' ( in Everyday Makeup post), Seventeen Back Lash Mascara (in Everyday Makeup post) and underneath all that Simple Kind To Skin Light Moisturiser, mentioned in My Daily Skincare Routine.

To apply my make up I used the Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply my Blusher, the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply my concealer, and the H&M Rouge Brush to apply powder. All these brushes have been mentioned in my post about my Everyday Makeup .

On my body I went for summery, girly clothes.
So on my top I wore my favourite Topshop Viscose Tank in Light Blue ( mentioned in OOTD : Village Carnival)
And on my bottom I wore this skirt from H&M which I have had for 2 years now, so unfortunately they do not sell it any more.

On my feet I wore my favourite sandals, these are Primark ones from about 2 years ago they still do these but they are slightly different. But love them so much as they look really cute, especially with the top and skirt I wore.
On my toe nails I wore Rimmel 60 seconds Nail varnish in the shade 'Mind The Gap, Victoria' which there is a whole post about.
And on my finger nails I just wore the Maintenance Nail Envy Nail Varnish which strengthens your nails and makes them look shiny.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Everyday Makeup

I have a very simple everyday makeup routine, which gives a very natural look.
Before putting on my makeup I cleanse and moisturise using my clean and clear deep cleansing lotion and my simple kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser. These have been mentioned in my Daily Skincare Routine and Collective Haul.

On to the makeup ...

First I apply my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in the colour 20 'Cameo'. This foundation has a light coverage and a light feel which are the two qualities I look for in a foundation as I have quite spot free skin most the time. I love the look this gives my skin, unfortunately in winter (when my dry skin is particularly dry) I find this just emphasises the dry areas which makes my face look awful. I am hoping to buy a new foundation for drier skin once this one has run out.

Next I apply my Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer. I have this in 'medium' which is slightly too dark for under my eyes but is great for covering up redness everywhere else. I am sure you have heard lots about this concealer so I will shut up now.

After that I use my Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in the shade 005 'Silky Beige' which I mentioned in my Collective Haul. I use this to set my makeup and get rid of oiliness around me nose and t-zone through the day. Love this the shade is perfect for my skin lasts a long time. This is my fourth one. Love it !

Now I use my Sleek Blush in the shade 'Flushed'. Love the colour, have already spoken about this in my Collective Haul. Lasts well and looks really natural !

Then I apply mascara, I use the Seventeen Back Lash mascara which claims to give 'Over 100% Greater Lash Impact'. I find it defines my lashes and makes them slightly longer. It also separates my lashes but it has taken a while to work out how to apply it without making it clump. But have slowly fallen in love with this mascara btu may not repurchase it as have my eyes on one of the Maybelline ones.

To finish off the look I use my Vaseline in 'Rosy Lips' which is a lip therapy balm with rose and almond oil. It moisturises my lips and slightly tints them so makes my lips a pinky natural colour.
brushes:
To apply my foundation I use the Real Techniques expert face blush, I dab this into the pot and then blend the foundation all over my face.
To apply the powder I use my H&M rouge brush which is not the best brush and have had it for ages. But don't see the point in buying a more expensive one as it works well to evenly distribute my powder.
To apply my blusher I use the Real Techniques 1407 blush brush. Love this brush as it is really soft and is amazing at applying blusher !
