Ten minutes ago i finished watching the film adaption of 'The Fault In Our Stars' by John Green. This film is so good ! So much like the book !
The actors in particular make this film brilliant, Shailene Woodley
who plays Hazel and Ansel Elgort who plays Gus use their talent in acting to paint the perfect love story between two people (who just happen to have cancer) . The love, the sadness and the hope is totally believable. Also Josh Boone did an amazing job directing this touching film and i really want to watch the other films he has directed, but of course that can wait for another night.
This film has made its way onto the small and select list of films i have cried in, also on this list is 'The Lion King', 'Nemo' and 'About Time'. What really started the tears was the point when her mum told her she was learning to be a councilor. I'm not sure why it made me sob, maybe the good actin ? or how realistic the scene was ? After i managed to control my tears they were set off again by Gus's 'pre-funeral' which in my opinion showed how great Woodley and Elgort are at acting. The emotions were real. I then wept through the rest of the film after the 'pre-funeral'.
I definitely recommend this film but make sure you have some hankies near by.
I hope you liked this bonus post !
Thank you for reading
