The Fault In Our Stars !

Ten minutes ago i finished watching the film adaption of 'The Fault In Our Stars' by John Green. This film is so good ! So much like the book !
The actors in particular make this film brilliant, Shailene Woodley
who plays Hazel and Ansel Elgort who plays Gus use their talent in acting to paint the perfect love story between two people (who just happen to have cancer) . The love, the sadness and the hope is totally believable. Also Josh Boone did an amazing job directing this touching film and i really want to watch the other films he has directed, but of course that can wait for another night.

This film has made its way onto the small and select list of films i have cried in, also on this list is 'The Lion King', 'Nemo' and 'About Time'. What really started the tears was the point when her mum told her she was learning to be a councilor. I'm not sure why it made me sob, maybe the good actin ? or how realistic the scene was ? After i managed to control my tears they were set off again by Gus's 'pre-funeral' which in my opinion showed how great Woodley and Elgort are at acting. The emotions were real. I then wept through the rest of the film after the 'pre-funeral'.

I definitely recommend this film but make sure you have some hankies near by.

I hope you liked this bonus post !

Thank you for reading

New discoveries !

I have been picking up some new products in the last couple of months. So today I am going to share with you the ones which I have been really impressed with.

First of all is this 'Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lip Balm' by Body Shop from their new 'Wild Argan Oil' Range. Fleur de force mentioned it on youtube and she seemed so impressed with the effects of it and could help but pick one up whilst in Body Shop. Since getting this it has become my favourite lip balm (I even choose to use it over my Carmex). I especially love to use it at night as a sort of lip remedy. If you are ever in Body Shop you must pick this up because it is amazing !!!

Going with the Body Shop theme, here is the Shea Body Butter. I always have used Body Shop body butters because I cant find anything else that makes my body look quite as moisturised and radiant as these. But I had never used the shea one think it sounded weird. But oh my goodness ! This has a kind of Sanctuary Spa kind of smell, is not stick and sinks in relatively quickly (not as fast as aqueous cream but still pretty fast). Love this product, this is another must have!

This is the 'Original Source Teatree Daily Scrub' and has been great for scrubbing my back as I have recently noticed the startings of a breakout, and as this contains teatree it cleanses the skin really well. Also the scrubby particles exfoliate the skin and get rid of any dead skin. If you are prone to a spotty back or just love the smell you should definitely get this !

On to Lush, this product has been saving my skin ! It is called 'Movis' (like hovis, get it !).I have recently been having bad hormonal breakouts, but have been quickly cleansed away by this product. It smells amazing (like freshly baked bread) and leaves my face feeling as soft as a baby's bottom (excuse the expression) another essential part of my cleansing routine. Love it !

This is a super cheap hair product, I buy it for 99p ( #bargain). It helps smooth down my frizzy hair and is supposedly a heat defence spray. SLthough I don't trust it as a heat defence spray.  I still love it due to its smell and the smoothing effect it has on my hair !

Thank you for reading this post !
Can you recommend any must have products ?

How To : Make A Smoothie #2

For the second instalment of my smoothie trilogy I am going to show you how to make a mango and apple smoothie.

You will need, frozen mango, mango sorbet, apple and mango juice and low fat natural yogurt.

Step 1 - As this recipe uses frozen mango, you have to defrost it for 10 minutes in a microwave.

Step 2 - Put the defrosted mango into your blender along with one scoop of mango sorbet.

Step 3 - Once blended add 1-2 table spoons of natural yogurt.

Step 4 - Once that has blended add the apple and mango juice, add as much as it needs to make a good consistency.

Step 5 - Pour into a glass.
Step 6 - Then drink. I forgot to take a picture of the finished smoothie as I was really thirsty. But it looked and tasted amazing.

Thank you for reading this post. I hope you are enjoying this trilogy.

Which Shampoos And Conditioners Am I Using ?

I have recently been trying out different shampoos and conditioners to see which benefit my hair the most as lately my hair has not looked as shiny and healthy as usually.

I have been using T-Gel for about 2 years now so obviously I haven't changed this. I cannot find anything in Boots/Superdrug which does as good a job as this shampoo treatment at keeping dandruff away, although this is definitely a lot more expensive than the other two hair products I will be talking about. But it is worth the price due to its effectiveness !
A new shampoo I have found is this Head & Shoulders 'Smooth and Silky'. I used to use the Herbal Essences 'Hello Hydration' shampoo and conditioner but it has not been leaving my hair as nice as it used to. So I found this one, it has a very neutral smell which I love and it does leave my hair 'Smooth and Silky '.
A really new discovery is the Garnier Ultimate Blends. I got the Shine Revitaliser which contains lemon and green tea and claims to boost bounce and vitality of your hair. I find my hair has become much shiner recently it may be this condition or the fact that I am trying to drink more water. Love the smell and is super cheap. It is currently on offer for '2 for £3' in Boots.

Which shampoo and conditioner do you use ?

I hope this post helps you find an amazing shampoo and conditioner for your hair.
Please comment constructive criticism.

How To : Make A Smoothie #1

I love smoothies so thought I would share some of my favourites.

Today I am going to show you how to make a classic strawberry and banana smoothie. You will need : I small banana, a handful of strawberries and natural yogurt ( to make it healthier use low fat like me.)
Step 1 - Chop a small banana and a large handful of strawberries.
Step 2 - Put them into your blender. Mine is a multi purpose one, not sure where I got it from but is quite new. I love the size of it because if you fill it with fruit it will make one glass of smoothie.

Step 3 - Blend until it looks like a puree.

Step 4 - Add some natural yogurt. I used 2 table spoons today but it depends how runny you want it and how much fruit you started with.
Step 5 - Blend.

Step 6 - Pour into a glass.
Step 7 - Drink !
I love the colour of this its a summery pink !
Sorry for the dodgy gifs. I tried !
Hope you enjoyed this post, I enjoyed making it.
Thank you for watching !

It is September

If you are from the UK you will know school starts in September.
The next year is quite a crucial year for me due to exams. I will be spending lots of time doing course work and preparing for these exams.
This sadly means I may not be able to post as much as I currently have been as it is hard work publishing two posts a week. I am still going to post regularly but instead of two posts a week I will post at least one. Some weeks I may have extra time and be able to post more but realistically I will only be able to post once a week.

Sorry
