Helloooooo..... 2 posts in 1 week ! I am on fire, haha.
I have just started my A-level courses at sixth form so I thought I would share what I took with you.
I took ...
Maths
Biology
Chemistry
Geography
I am interested in all these subjects and I am enjoying these lessons. I have no typically 'fun' lessons but to me all of mine are fun. As I'm not a very englishy/theatrical/creative kind of person, I dropped all those kind of subjects soon as I could.
I hope you enjoyed this little update

Busy School Day Breakfast Idea
Hey ! Sorry for being absent for a while, starting sixth form has been busy and full of work, so I have not had time. But I'm back and hopefully I can post a bit more from now one xx
School mornings are always very busy for me, and squeezing in a nice, health and energising breakfast can be tricky/almost impossible.
I had a new idea recently which eliminates this and it involves pancakes, so what is not to like ?
I thought I would share my recipe with you and what I do to get them ready for school mornings.
I usually make these on a Sunday and there is enough for 3 days, usually.
You will need :
2 bananas, 2 eggs, heaped 1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 tsp baking powder, coconut oil and if you are feeling adventurous an extra flavour e.g. a few drops of vanilla extra or 1/4 tsp of cinnamon.
To create the pancakes :
1) Put all the ingredients (except the coconut oil) into a blender and blend until it is smooth, if it looks to thick add some water.
2) Leave the batter to stand (this allows it to thicken slightly) whilst you heat up a frying pan (non-stick ones are best) with some coconut oil, get out your flipping device and a plate to put your pancakes on.
3) Spoon a dollop of batter into the pan and spread it out so it is around the size of a mug. Flip when it bubbles slightly on top, it should be golden brown on the bottom. Then flip again when the other side looks golden brown.
4) Place your pancake on a plate. And continue dolloping and flipping. If you are skilled it is possible to do multiple at once (depending on the size of your pan).
5) This recipe usually produces 10 - 15 pancakes.
6) Now for the organisation part, split the pancakes into piles of 3-5. This should be the number of pancakes you could eat in a morning. Each pile will be for a day.
7) Wrap each pile in some non-stick paper, add a day label.
8) Put in a box and place in the fridge. This ensures they are easy to grab in the morning.
These can then be taken put the fridge and heated up in the microwave in a couple of seconds. I usually add yogurt/maple syrup/fresh fruit/granola to add more energy and healthiness.
I find this is the perfect before school breakfast as it is full of energy and tastes great.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Thank you for reading.

Organisation DIY
Hellooooooo !!! I'm bit late for back to school (I put off getting organised until the day before school started) but here is a little organisation/back to school DIY ! It is very similar to the one I did at Christmas but more temporary and easier to do.
You will need:
A jar, ruler, pretty paper (mines a wrapping paper from paperchase), scissors, pencil and tape.
Step No.1 - Measure the jar to find out what length of paper you need.
Step No.2 - Mark out and cut the paper to your required size.
Step No.3 - Tape one end to the jar.
Step No.4 - Roll the paper round the jar and tape the end down. And you are done.
I told you it was easy ! All you need to do is add some cute pens and put them on your desk. My favourite pens are the Papermate InkJoy 100 Roller Ball. They are really comfy to use and make my writing look nice. I have them in black, blue and of course all the colours of the rainbow !!!
I love this DIY as it is easy to remove the paper and replace it with another pattern when you get bored !!!
A little organisational tip for you is to get a academic diary (from September - July). It is great for jotting down any appointments, social events, holidays, when you are working and of course the dreaded homework with colour coded pens. Even though my school gives me a homework planner (which I hate and is set out really weirdly) I find it useful to collect everything in one diary.
I hope you enjoyed this post.

P.S. The best tip for school (especially GCSE and A-level years) is to get as much sleep as you possibly can at night (even if a YouTube video has just been uploaded or you are chatting to someone - beauty sleep is very important! I am much more productive when I've had a good nights sleep. I find yoga helps ?! xxx
Congrats if you read this far down ;)

My Summer Makeup
Helloooo ! I know its been a while. I've just been a bit uninspired and I've been recovering from GCSEs (I'm really pleased with my results).
I know its the end of summer but I've only just gone on my holiday (check my insta for pictures !) So this may be a bit irrelevant but I'm going to share with you the products I've been using on my face whilst in hot hot hot Greece!
I have only been using 3 makeup products daily !
The Maybelline Waterproof Rocket Volume Express Mascara which stays on really well and I only apply a bit of this so I don't look too made up.
Maybelline Brow Drama brow gel which I think is essential to ensure your brows are on fleek 😉.
Bodyshop Argan Oil lip balm which I have refallen in love with recently and it does a fab job at moisturizing my lips!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post !!

Little But Expensive Shopping Spree
I went on a girly holiday to Wales... And of course we went shopping. I didn't buy too much but somehow spent lots of money. So here is my little but expensive shopping spree...
I have been searching for a bikini which fit and looked cute. Then I finally found this ! I think the pattern is very snazzy and I love the bright summery colours. It also fits really well. I also love the extra detail between the boobs. I also have the matching bottoms. These were from Debenhams and are the Mantaray brand. I bought one from this brand a couple of years ago and its still going strong, so I didn't mind paying a bit extra for it than I usually would, there was also 20% off.
In Boots and Superdrug there was an offer for any 2 Revlon nail products for £8 which is a great deal considering they are usually £6.99 each. So I got the colours 130 Pocket Aces and 410 Up The Ante. I love both these colours and they are very wearable. They also stay a long time without chipping.
I have been wanting the Maybelline Brow Drama for ages. So I finally got it and I really like. I got it in the colour Medium Brown. It gels my eyebrows done so they don't move and makes them look thicker and slightly darker.
My friend has the Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Dry Shampoo and I decided to get it because I really like it. Its not chalky, it just de greases my hair. And it was on offer in Superdrug for £1.50.
I hope you enjoyed this short post.
Thank you for reading, please comment any blog ideas or constructive criticism.

Festival Essentials !
I've been to 2 festivals over the last few weeks, Soul Survivor and Y Not. So I've got a good list of some of the absolute essentials at festivals.
1). Breakfast Bars - I love the Jordan's Frusli bars.
2). Face Wipes - I recently discovered the 'Yes To Carrots Nourishing Cleansing Wipes', these are very similar to the Johnsons ones I mentioned in my previous post. These are definitely need to remove the grease of the day.
3). Baby Wipes - These are so essential to remove any mess and to freshen up. I got the classic Johnson ones.
4). Metallic Tattoos - These help you achieve the ultimate festival look. I got mine from Models Own.
5). Robinsons Squash'd - Water from festivals can sometimes taste a bit funny so adding this makes it taste a lot nicer. My favourite flavour is summer fruits.
6). Dry Shampoo - A couple of days in and if I hadn't showered this was definitely needed to hide the grease. The 'Aussie Miracle Dry Shampoo Aussome Volume' is ok (it smells amazing), but I prefer the 'Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Dry Shampoo'
7). Bleach London 'Bruised Violet' Dye - Again this adds to the festival look and I love purple ! Bleach London also do lots of other colours.
9). Tangle Teezer - To get rid of bed hair.
11). Fruit Pots - To get a few vitamins whilst away.
12). Deoderant - This is needed to keep me smelling like I've just had a shower (even if I hadn't). I love the 'Sure Pomegranate and Lime'
13). BB Cream - To cover up any imperfections and make me look more alive. I love the Olay 7 effects in 1.
14). Waterproof Mascara - So what ever the weather my eyelashes still look long and curly. I love this Maybelline Rocket Express Volume Waterproof version is almost as good the original.
15). Denim Shirt - Keeps me warm but doesn't look too stupid. This shirt is from Boohoo for £20.
16). Shorts - I love these ones from Topshop, the Mom Ripped Black Shorts. They fit really well.
I hope you enjoyed this post.

July Favourites !
Hello, I have been very busy recently, so July has literally flown by ! So I only have a few favourites.
As I have been travelling a lot face wipes have been an essential, so instead of going for the simple ones I always get I decided to try the 'Johnsons Moisturising Face Wipes' as I'd heard some good stuff about them. They remove most of my makeup but struggle with waterproof mascara and they are really moisturising so I didn't need to use a moisturiser afterwards which is great as it cuts out a step !
As a little snack I have been loving some original digestives, they are so filling and tasty so one of my favourites !
As its summer I decided to do something different with my hair and add some colour. I had never properly dyed my hair before so just got Bleach London 'Bruised Violet' temporary dye . I used this on my ends (which are brown) and it gave a purple colour which looked really cool in my opinion and washed out after a couple of showers.
At Boots there was a sale on where everything in Neutrogena was 2 for £5, so obviously I had to get some things. I got the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control Daily Foaming Wash and another product. I absolutely love this as its very quick and easy to use. It removes all grease and makes my face feel really soft !
I mentioned the Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine by Rita Ora in 'Rain Rain Go Away' in my previous post so obviously had to mention it here. I have wore it every day since then and I'm still loving it !
I bought one of the refill razors from Gillette as the (cheaper) razors I was using were not getting a close enough shave on my legs and also making them a bit rashy so thought I would splash out on this Gillette Venus Spa one (it was half price at the coop anyway!). I've only used it a couple of times but can already see the difference.
I got the grey trimmed white top from Primark for £4 which is a bargain compared top how much Topshop and Newlook. I have been wearing it so much as it is simple so goes with everything !
Its summer so I've been wearing shorts more but my comfiest shoes are my Caterpillar Bruiser Boots so I've been rocking the shorts and boots look ! So my caterpillar boots are one of my favourites this month.
I hope you enjoyed this months favourites !

I've Been Loving ...
Hello, today I am going to share with you something I have been loving recently. And I couldn't wait until favourites time at the end of the month.
I have been loving the Rimmel London Rita Ora Nail Varnish in 448 'Rain Rain Go Away'.
It is a grey/purple/pink colour which looks quite neutral and natural on . It also lasts a very long time without chipping and dries really fast (think its meant to dry in 60 seconds but not sure). I have literally been wearing it the whole time since I got it a few weeks ago.
I hope you enjoyed this short but sweet post.

I Went To The Brecon Beacons !
Hello, How are you doing ?
Over the weekend my family and I went on a little trip to the Brecon Beacons and stayed at a fancy pub called 'The Felin Fach Griffin'.
We went canoeing, climbed Pen Y Fan (2,907ft) and explored Hay On Wey.
So I thought I would share some photos from our adventure up Pen Y Fan.
The food at the Felin Fach Griffin was incredible so obviously I took some photos !
(sorry about the bad quality, there was not the best lighting for taking pictures)
I hope you enjoyed this blog post !

My Favourite Hairstyle !
Helloooooooooooooooooooooo,
Recently I have found myself doing one hairstyle everyday. SO why not share it with you ?!?!
It is just a half up half down style but with the half up fishtail plaited.
Step No.1 - Section off the top part of your hair.
Step No.2 - Split this in half
Step No.3 - Separate a small section from one half and pass it over to the other side, so this with the other side and repeat.
Step No.4 - Stop when it is a good length, I don't like to go to the end of my hair as it make it look messy (in a bad way).
Step No.5 - Tease the plait to make it larger and messier (in a good way). Then you are done.
Don't use a black hair tie like me, use a clear one so it was less obvious. My hair looks a bit gross in this as I had been swimming earlier so my hair still had a bit of chlorine in it.
This creates the perfect effortless looking summer hairstyle for any occasion.
I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading.

Summer Outfit
Hello, today I am going to share with you a really cute summery outfit I put together.

Starting at the top. I wore this simple necklace from Topshop which I got in the sales for £3.
These shoes are a very recent purchase for me. I absolutely love them. They are Toms but with a larger sole. I also love the pattern, its isn't in your face. So you could wear it with other patterns but it is interesting enough to wear with a simple outfit. I also love the principles of Toms, they give away a pair of shoes to a person in need for ever pair bought.
I love this skirt, my mum bought it for me from the children's section of Fatface. But it is actually quite big. I love the multiple patterns and the bright colour. It makes me feel really summery again.
This top is very simple and just from H&M but I'm sure many other shops sell this style. I also wore a pair of sunglasses from Newlook as it was a sunny day.
The bracelets I wore were a Pandora leather bracelet and a cute star bracelet from a small jewellery shop near me. I think they are really cute and just finish off the outfit.
I hope you enjoyed this slightly photo heavy post, and sorry for not posting for a while.
Thank you for reading

My New Obsession
Since being on study leave I have been eating most meals at home. This means I have been able to cook more healthy food. So I have been on a bit of a health kick recently.
Today I am going to share with you some pictures of the salads I have been having.
The main ingredients I use are:
Tomatoes
cucumber
feta
houmous
pepper
sundried tomatoes
Then I add ingredients like:
asparagus
quinoa
giant couscous
And switch up the dressing:
soy and lime,
soy and ginger
french vinaigrette
olive oil
Switching up the ingredients and dressings all depends on what I have in the cupboard and what I feel like eating. It keeps my salads interesting so I do not get board and resort to unhealthy food.
Nandos have a new salad with quinoa, avocado and sweet potato and it is amazing !
I hope you enjoyed this post.
What do you have in your salads?

One Good and One Not so Good Product
Hello. Today I am going to review a two products I have started using recently. One of them I really like and the other not so much ?!
The product I do not like so much is the Sanctuary Spa White Lily & Damask Rose Body Lotion. It smells amazing , and is purple. But... It takes forever to sink in and does not moisturise my properly. I do have very dry skin so may work better for people who have more normal skin.
The product I do like is the Olay BB cream, with 7 total effects. It doesn't have much coverage but it adds a bit of colour to my face and evens my skin tone. So it is perfect for summer, especially when you need SPF (this has 15).
I hope you enjoyed this post.
What products have you been liking and disliking recently?
Thank you for reading this post.

Benefit They're Real Vs Maybelline Rocket Volume Express
Hello sorry for not posting last week. Exams are stressing me out and I'm spending all my time revising. So sorry xx
Today I am going to give my thoughts on the Benefit They're Real mascara and Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara and tell you which I prefer. Let's get started !
Benefit They're Real - This is a really good mascara, it lenghtens and volumises my lashes pretty well. It is very long lasting so is great for a night out. But I do find that they make my lashes less curly, whichis annoying as i usually have quite curly lashes. Another problem I have with it us that it takes ages to dry and then is really hard to remove (even with micellar water).
Maybelline Rocket Volume Express - I love this mascara ! It has been part of my favorites for the past few months. It lengthens, volumizes and holds the curl of my lashes . It dries pretty fast. But does leave a bit under my brow bone because my eyelashes are made so long and curly, this is easily removed so I do not mind. It is not as long lasting as the Benefit They're Real but it happily lasts the whole day. And is much easier to get ioff !
Overall I prefer the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara due to all the reasons above and it costs a fraction of the price of the Benefit They're Real mascara. So if you are thinking of trying the Benefit They're Real mascara I recommend you try the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express first as it is better in my opinion.
What is your favorite mascara ? And what do you think if these 2 I have mentioned ?
I hope you found this post useful and enjoyable.
Thank you for reading.

1 YEAR !!!
Hello, I have been blogging for more than a year. It was definitely a good but Slightly Mad idea (see what I did there). So I thought I would tell you why I decided to start a blog.
In march of 2014 my granddad died, he was old and had lots of ailments and had lived a very very long and happy life. But it made me realise that life does not last forever and I'm also not going to be young forever.
This made me think that I didn't want any regrets.
So my aim was to take every opportunity I could to make my granddad and the rest of my family and friends proud and that is what I have been doing ever since.
I had been wanting to start a blog for ages so after he died, I was like, no regrets, lets do this. And Slightly Mad was born!
I am so glad I started blogging, it gives me a chance to just get lost, chill our and relax in taking photos and writing about stuff I love, etc.
I recommend that you try to take as many opportunities as you can and do what ever you want.
Just Say Yes !
and
Keep Smiling !

April Favourites !
Its the end of April ! Its been a very busy month with revision, d of e practice expedition and coursework but I have still have had time to try new things !
I love the Aussi 3 minute miracle light moose (I love mooses), it make my hair look healthier, feel softer and lighter (and it smells amazing)
I have never used a shaving gel before (which is really bad, I know!) this is the Satin Care Shaving Gel for Dry Skin. I could instantly tell the difference. The hairs were cut shorter, and my legs were softer, more moisturised !
I have been absolutely loving One Tree Hill especially after getting season 7 for my birthday ( which has quin and clay in it !!!). You should go and watch it !
Zoella's Fizz Bar, I got so many of these for my birthday as people knew I have been loving them recently ! They are just so easy to use as you do not have to scrub any weird glitter and what not ,from the bath after using it (unlike some lush bath bombs). The smell is really fresh as well.
Primark sandals I bought these 2/3 years ago (cannot believe they still fit) but absolutely love them. Went to buy a new pair but they have changed the material used for the flowers so I didn't like them as much. But spring is here and it is sandal time. These go with everything.
Dove Pomegranate Deodorant, I took this on D Of E with me, it meant I didn't need a shower. It smells so good ! So definitely try this next time you need a new deodorant.
Sanctuary Spa White Lily And Damask Rose Body Wash, I got this for my birthday and have used it in every shower since ! It smells AMAZING !!! I cant describe it but it must the smell of white lilies and damask roses ? Love it, you should try it.
What are your favourite products from this month ?
Thank you for reading this blog.

Monochrome Outfit !
Hello. I am doing another outfit styling post today. A more sophisticated black and white outfit for going out ?
The top and skirt are both from Boohoo. This top is really cool, it is slightly cropped with a high neck, no sleeves, a thin red stripe to add a bit of colour and costs £15 ! And I thought a simple black skirt would go best, it is £5 from Boohoo. To make it a more casual outfit you could swap the skirt for a pair of ripped black jeans?
This watch is absolutely beautiful, it costs £75 which is too much for me to spend on a watch. But I still love it, it is class and simple so does not detract from the top. (it is from Topshop)
I love this triple ring (it is like a ring, but triple , ha) from River Island and it is only £3 which is a really good price.
These shoes ! I am saving up for them at the minute, as they cost £39.99. They are just so classy in my opinion and would be great for a meal out in the summer or a party or anywhere to be honest.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
What is your favourite shop at the moment? Mine is Boohoo, if you couldn't tell !
Thank you for reading this post !

Hand Creams !
I have tried quite a few hand creams recently as due to the horrible cold weather my hands have been really dry (as dry as the Sahara desert ). So I thought I would share my thoughts on each of them.
No. 1- Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Concentrated Cream for hands, elbow, knees and feet. It claims to soften and relieve soft, dry skin for 24 hours. I love the smell of this (cocoa butter) but it does not hydrate my hands for longer than an hour or two. It absorbs quite fast and has a thick consistency but I probably won't purchase the full size. It is £1.99 for 60ml which I think is quite a good price because this product is not amazing but it works.
No.2 - Vaseline Healthy Hands and Stronger Nails Hand Cream is what I have been using forever (or almost). This is a really good hand cream and always go back to it when others do not work well enough. It has a slight spell which is quite nice and clean (great description, I know!). Not sure about the stronger nails claim as its hard to tell. This absorb as fast as the Palmer's one but is thinner so it is easy to squirt out too much. This is £5.39 for the 200ml bottle which I have, it is definitely worth the money and is usually on sale.
No.3 - Neutrogena Unscented Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand cream. It has no scent, and is amazing but it is really thick and makes my hands very greasy, which is find if used as a treatment before bed when you won't be touching anything. Definitely not a hand bag hand cream. This costs £3.69 for 50ml which is quite expensive but is definitely worth it for when my hands are super dry.
No.4 - Soap and glory Hand Dream Super Intensive Hand Cream. This isn't the distinctive soap and glory smell, it is slightly fruitier. It is very fast absorbing and works well but have to top it up every so often. It contains AHAs which makes your skin more sensitive to the sun, so I would recommend just using this like the Neutrogena before bed, unless you want to put sun cream on your hands constantly. This costs £7.00 for the 100ml tube, less than Neutrogena would be if it was 100ml, it is also half the size of the Vaseline and still more expensive but is not as good so not sure it is worth it.
Overall I think the Vaseline is my favourite as it absorbs fast and does not leave my hands greasy but still moisturises them. And I can use it through out the day. However if my hands are very very very very very dry I would use the Neutrogena one to sort them out.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful.
Thank you for reading.

Trying to be a stylist ?
I've realised I do not do much fashion stuff on here. So thought I would try to style an outfit, which I love. I think this one is a summery/ late spring outfit but could be adjusted for early spring (its still a bit too cold for dresses without tights in the UK)
I absolutely love this dress ! it is cute and summery/springy, and at the moment I am loving shift dresses. It is from Boohoo and costs £18 which I think is quite a good price.
I think these chunky sandals from Topshop (£30, which isn't too bad considering it is Topshop) would go really well, making it been a less flowery outfit (if you know what I mean).
I didn't think much jewellery is needed with this outfit as the pattern is quite bold and colourful but I saw this simple rose gold chain necklace in H&M and think it goes quite well (kind of matches centres of the flowers) but it does cost £6.99 so depending on your budget may not be reasonable but most shops sell chain necklaces at the moment.
Did you enjoy this type of post ?
Please comment any suggestions and your thoughts.

HAIM - Go Slow
I am currently writing this post on the bus home, this suddenly came on through my headphones (trying to block out the rest of the bus) and realised how good this song is.
It is so calming and I love the beat, the voices ...
Basically, I LOVE THIS SONG!
I like all the other songs from this album, but I think this is the best.
Sorry for such a short post, just had to let you know.
